Teak Water Club is a water-focused resort destination developed in Ubud, conceived in 2018 with HST Architect appointed as Design Architect. The project is envisioned as a lifestyle-oriented retreat where water, landscape, and social experience form the core of the architectural concept.

The design emphasizes a strong relationship between architecture and natural water elements, organizing public spaces, leisure facilities, and amenities around pools, water courts, and framed views toward Ubud’s lush river-valley landscape. Spatial planning prioritizes fluid circulation and clear zoning, allowing guests to move intuitively between arrival areas, social hubs, and quieter retreat spaces.

Architecturally, Teak Water Club adopts a contemporary tropical language expressed through open pavilions, generous roof overhangs, and seamless indoor–outdoor transitions. Natural materials—particularly timber and stone—are used to create warmth and tactile richness, while shading and natural ventilation strategies enhance comfort within Ubud’s climate.

As a water club resort, the project explores a balance between vibrant social energy and serene retreat, offering a destination that supports relaxation, gathering, and immersive engagement with nature. Teak Water Club reflects an approach to hospitality design that is experiential, climate-responsive, and deeply rooted in place, aligning modern resort lifestyle with Ubud’s cultural and environmental context.
