PRIVATE VILLA AND GLAMPING SITE AT BEDUGUL
Rusa II Private Villa and Glamping Site is a hospitality concept developed in 2025, located in the cool highland environment of Bedugul, Bali. Building upon the spirit of nature-driven retreat, the project is envisioned as a hybrid destination that combines private villas and contemporary glamping units within a unified landscape setting.
The masterplan is organized as a layered resort village, with a clear separation between villa accommodations, glamping clusters, and shared communal facilities. The layout follows the natural contours of the site, preserving existing greenery and creating generous green buffers that enhance privacy, tranquility, and immersion in nature. Vehicular access is carefully managed to keep internal areas pedestrian-friendly and serene.
Architecturally, the private villas adopt a refined tropical highland language, characterized by pitched roofs, stone-textured walls, warm timber elements, and generous terraces. These villas are designed as permanent, grounded structures that offer comfort, privacy, and a strong relationship with the surrounding landscape.
In contrast, the glamping units introduce a lighter, more experimental architectural expression. Semi-arched and tent-inspired forms create a distinct identity while maintaining climatic comfort and visual openness. Elevated platforms, transparent façades, and integrated outdoor decks allow guests to experience the landscape directly, blurring the boundary between shelter and nature.
Shared facilities—such as dining pavilions, gathering spaces, and outdoor lounges—are positioned as social anchors between the villa and glamping zones. These structures are designed to be open, welcoming, and visually connected to green fields and forest edges, reinforcing the sense of community without disrupting privacy.
As Concept Architect, the focus of Rusa II is on creating a destination that balances permanence and lightness, comfort and adventure. The project reflects an architectural approach rooted in place sensitivity, landscape integration, and experiential diversity, offering a new model of highland hospitality that resonates with Bedugul’s natural character while meeting contemporary lifestyle expectations.
