NAAU RESORT & SPA TEJAKULA
CENCEPT ARCHITECT
RESORT HOTEL AND VILLAS AT TEJAKULA – BALI
Naau Resort Hotel and Villas is a beachfront hospitality concept developed in 2025 for Tejakula, North Bali—an area defined by its tranquil coastline, lush coconut groves, and a quieter, more authentic Balinese atmosphere. The project is envisioned as a destination resort that harmonizes architecture, landscape, and coastal life, offering a refined retreat away from the intensity of southern Bali.
The masterplan is structured as a resort village, with hotel blocks, villa clusters, and communal facilities arranged along a clear axial arrival sequence that gently unfolds toward the sea. The beachfront zone is activated by pools, sun decks, and leisure terraces, while villas are set deeper within landscaped areas to ensure privacy and immersion in greenery. Circulation prioritizes walkability, allowing guests to experience the site at a relaxed, human pace.
Architecturally, Naau Resort adopts a contemporary tropical language enriched by local material character. Pitched roofs, stone masonry, warm timber accents, and shaded verandas reference vernacular proportions while being interpreted through modern detailing. Building massing is carefully scaled and articulated to avoid visual dominance, ensuring the resort blends naturally with the palm-lined coastline.
Water elements play a central role in shaping the guest experience. Expansive swimming pools, reflective surfaces, and the open relationship with the sea create a continuous dialogue between architecture and water, enhancing microclimate comfort and visual serenity. Public pavilions and dining spaces are designed as open, breathable structures that frame views and encourage social interaction without compromising intimacy.
As Concept Architect, the focus of Naau Resort Hotel and Villas is on crafting a hospitality environment that balances resort vibrancy with calm retreat, and architectural identity with environmental sensitivity. The project reflects an approach to resort design where architecture serves as a quiet, elegant framework—supporting nature, culture, and long-term destination value in North Bali.
