Bima Residence is a residential concept developed in 2022 for the Griya Budha Batuan area, Gianyar, Bali. Conceived as a calm and contextually grounded living environment, the project responds to Batuan’s cultural heritage and semi-urban character through thoughtful spatial planning and a restrained architectural language.
The concept emphasizes human scale, privacy, and climatic comfort, organizing residential units to allow natural light, cross-ventilation, and clear spatial flow. Outdoor spaces—courtyards, gardens, and transitional zones—are integral to the layout, reinforcing a strong relationship between indoor living and the surrounding environment.
Architecturally, Bima Residence adopts a contemporary tropical expression informed by local sensibilities. Clean forms are balanced with shaded openings, textured materials, and landscape elements that soften the built environment and support long-term livability. The overall composition aims to feel cohesive yet flexible, accommodating everyday family life while respecting its neighborhood context.
As a concept-stage project, Bima Residence reflects an approach to residential design that prioritizes clarity, place sensitivity, and enduring quality—establishing a solid architectural framework for a comfortable and meaningful living experience in Gianyar.
