BANK BRI GATSU BARAT
CENCEPT ARCHITECT
BRI @ GATSU BARAT, DENPASAR – FAÇADE REDESIGN
Bank BRI Gatot Subroto Barat is a façade redesign concept developed in 2022 to refresh and modernize an existing Bank BRI branch along one of Bali’s key urban corridors. Appointed as Concept Architect, the scope focused on redefining the building’s public image, arrival experience, and street presence, while aligning with BRI’s corporate identity.
The design concept emphasizes a clear, welcoming, and dignified frontage, strengthening visual recognition from the street and improving customer orientation upon arrival. A redesigned drop-off canopy becomes a key architectural gesture—providing weather protection, clarity of access, and a ceremonial sense of entry appropriate for a public financial institution.
Architecturally, the façade adopts a clean contemporary expression, combining solid white planes with carefully proportioned openings and glazing. Vertical articulation and layered elements are introduced to add depth and rhythm, while maintaining a restrained and professional character. The integration of branding elements is handled with precision, ensuring strong visibility without overpowering the architecture.
Landscape and hardscape elements at the frontage are refined to soften the urban edge, enhance pedestrian comfort, and support intuitive vehicular movement. The overall composition balances corporate identity, urban functionality, and architectural clarity, creating a refreshed face that is both modern and contextually appropriate.
As a concept-stage façade redesign, Bank BRI Gatot Subroto Barat reflects an approach to commercial architecture that prioritizes identity, usability, and visual coherence—demonstrating how targeted architectural intervention can significantly elevate the presence and performance of an existing building.
