VILLA BALANGAN CONCEPT – BALANGAN BALI
Villa Balangan is a residential villa concept developed in 2022, located in the Balangan area of Bali, a coastal zone known for its cliffs, ocean views, and relaxed resort atmosphere. The project is envisioned as a contemporary tropical villa compound, designed to balance privacy, openness, and a strong connection to landscape.
The concept organizes the villas in a layered and terraced composition, responding to site levels and maximizing views while maintaining clear separation between private, semi-private, and communal spaces. Linear water elements—such as elongated pools and water courts—become the central organizing features, guiding movement and creating a continuous visual and climatic cooling effect throughout the site.
Architecturally, the villas adopt a clean, modern tropical language, characterized by horizontal planes, flat roofs, generous overhangs, and expansive glazing. Upper-level balconies and bridges create visual continuity between volumes, while shaded decks, terraces, and garden pockets reinforce seamless indoor–outdoor living.
The design emphasizes clarity of massing and spatial flow, allowing each villa unit to enjoy natural light, cross-ventilation, and framed views of greenery and sky. Materials and detailing are intentionally restrained, supporting a timeless aesthetic that complements Balangan’s natural setting rather than competing with it.
As Concept Architect, the focus was on establishing a strong architectural framework that supports flexibility, lifestyle comfort, and long-term value. Villa Balangan reflects an approach to villa design that is contemporary, climate-responsive, and experiential—where architecture, water, and landscape work together to create a calm and refined living environment.
