PRIVATE RESIDENCE AT BUAHBATU BANDUNG BY MR. ASEP IWAN – JAKARTA
Private Residence at Buahbatu, Bandung is a bespoke family home designed with HST Architect acting as Design Architect. Located in the Buahbatu residential area, the project responds to Bandung’s cooler highland climate and evolving urban context by prioritizing comfort, privacy, and functional clarity.
The design emphasizes clear spatial zoning to support daily family life, with well-defined living, private, and service areas. Natural light and ventilation are carefully introduced through openings, courtyards, and transitional spaces, enhancing indoor comfort while reducing reliance on mechanical systems.
Architecturally, the residence adopts a contemporary yet restrained language, balancing clean lines and modern proportions with warm materials and human-scaled details. Outdoor spaces—such as gardens, terraces, or semi-open areas—are integrated to strengthen the relationship between interior spaces and the surrounding environment.
As a private residence, the Buahbatu project reflects an approach to residential architecture that values livability, climatic responsiveness, and timeless design, translating the client’s lifestyle needs into a home that is practical, comfortable, and enduring.
