HILL TOP VILLA AT SELONG BELANAK, LOMBOK BY ROX HARVEY & FATHUR
ROX Hill Top Villa is a private hilltop residence located above the sweeping bay of Selong Belanak, Lombok. Perched on elevated terrain, the villa is conceived as a quiet retreat that captures expansive ocean and landscape views while maintaining privacy and a strong connection to its natural surroundings.
The design responds directly to the site’s topography and climate, organizing spaces along the contours of the hill to minimize land disturbance and maximize natural ventilation. Living areas are oriented toward panoramic vistas, with generous terraces and shaded outdoor spaces that encourage seamless indoor–outdoor living—a key aspect of tropical hillside architecture.
Architecturally, the villa adopts a contemporary tropical language, combining clean, restrained forms with climate-responsive elements such as deep overhangs, open plans, and natural materials. The composition balances solidity and openness, allowing the building to sit lightly within the landscape while offering comfort and protection from the elements.
As a hilltop private residence, ROX Hill Top Villa reflects a design approach rooted in site sensitivity, spatial clarity, and experiential living, transforming Selong Belanak’s dramatic setting into a refined yet relaxed residential sanctuary.
