RAMADA BINTANG BALI RESORT
DESIGN ARCHITECT AND INTERIOR
5 * HOTEL RENOVATION AND KUTA BALI BY PT. MEKAR DUNIA WISATA – JAKARTA
In 2001, the Ramada Bintang Bali Resort underwent a significant renovation aimed at upgrading facilities, refreshing the resort image, and enhancing guest experience in response to the evolving hospitality market in Bali.
Located along the beachfront of Tuban–Kuta, the renovation focused on improving public areas, guest accommodations, and landscape elements, while maintaining the resort’s established tropical character. Design interventions emphasized better spatial flow, improved comfort, and a stronger connection between indoor spaces, gardens, and beachfront areas—key aspects of successful resort architecture in Bali.
The renovation reflected early-2000s hospitality trends, where existing resorts were adapted to meet international standards, operational efficiency, and contemporary guest expectations without losing their original identity. Attention was given to material upgrades, lighting, and finishes, alongside enhancements to leisure and communal spaces.
As part of Bali’s broader resort revitalization movement in the early 2000s, the Ramada Bintang Bali Resort renovation demonstrated the importance of adaptive reuse and thoughtful refurbishment in extending the life cycle of established hotels. The project reinforced the resort’s competitiveness while preserving its role as a welcoming beachfront destination in the Kuta area.
